1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
Its design is a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best option is probably a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price tag.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile and even high-pile ones.

The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then plug in your charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed near an outlet with plenty of room to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
